Overcoming
the Commercial Flight Cancellation Problems
Blue Star Jets.
New
York, NY - July 9, 2008 - Commercial business travelers are encountering
a lot of difficulties due to the many commercial flight cancellation of
late. Meeting clients at their location on time has become more difficult.
According to recent statistics published by the Official Air Guide, commercial
air traffic in May had been cut by 22,900 flights, with commercial carriers
canceling up to 15% of their routes. This means businesses are left stranded.
The
Air Transport Association also recently predicted that by the year's end
nearly one hundred U.S. communities will be left without regular commercial
air service (the figure may double next year). In total, more than four
hundred airports across the country have seen reductions in services.
As
a result flying privately has now become a realistic option for businesses
and corporations needing to travel regionally or nationally. The country's
largest air charter broker, Blue Star Jets, has seen a sudden increase
in business travel, and is able to help businesses overcome the difficulties
due to the troublesome commercial hub-and-spoke system. "We are providing
a much needed resource for companies wanting to fly privately and affordably,"
comments Blue Star Jets CEO Ricky Sitomer.
A
flight from New York to Boston charted from Blue Star Jets costs about
$4,700 for seven people. (This is roughly the same price per person as
a last minute commercial ticket.) This also eliminates having to fight
airport congestion, endure long waits at security checkpoints, incur additional
costs and the general lack of privacy and convenience encountered at most
major airports every day.
Business
travelers can now take advantage of point-to-point travel, fully utilize
their time and enjoy the benefits of affordable private jet travel and
conveniences. In addition the biggest and unrealized benefit of flying
privately is the range of destinations. Private jets access over 5,000
destinations as opposed to the limited 500 domestic destinations accessed
by commercial flights.
Business
travel needs to be effective, and more savvy business travelers-cum-private
jet passengers are finding it just that.
